How to set savings goals you actually stick to
Setting yourself a savings goal with no date or specific number —"save more this year"— almost never works. A savings goal with an amount and real tracking, on the other hand, tells you exactly how much you've got and how much is left, and that changes behaviour: you know whether you're on track or whether you need to adjust your monthly contribution.
Inveriok works out the estimated date of each goal from your real savings pace, not from an optimistic projection. If you save less one month, the date adjusts on its own — no surprises two weeks before the trip or the mortgage deposit.
Savings goals rely on the same data as the rest of the app: your real budget and transactions. That way the amount you put towards each goal isn't a figure plucked from the air, but what you genuinely have left over each month.
